About Gut Royum

Gut Royum is a three-sided farm from the 19th century with a beautiful manor house and historic stable buildings.

The first named owner of the land was Colonel Bartig until 1717. When exactly the manor was built, is not known. In 1878 a preliminary survey was carried out. After that, the manor already has its typical shape, a main building and two outbuildings. In 1901, the name Gut Royum appears for the first time in the inventory directory. From 1908 to 2009, the farm was owned by the Greve family, from whom we took over the farm.

After 3 years of intensive search for a suitable object, we found our dream in 2009. The renovation work started in the same year. It took a lot of effort to transform this 300-year-old gem into a cozy home for the family and our holiday guests within a year. During the renovation, it was particularly important to revive the old charm of the house and to combine with modern real estate properties.

After a winter and many busy hours, in March 2010, the first holiday guests in the three cozy apartments on the upper floor of the farmhouse could experience an unforgettable holiday. Since then, we have been constantly doing well to make Royum even more beautiful in order to offer our guests as much rest and relaxation as possible. For example, we have built a barrel sauna with outdoor shower in the garden and a great children’s playground with trampoline.

In 2015, we decided to design more apartments to offer our guests the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing holiday on our farm. Thus, the approx. 400-year-old grain barn was completely gutted and renovated. There were further 3 apartments, 4 double rooms, as well as a seminar room and a cozy fireplace room.

About us

We, Heike and Jens Reimers, look forward to welcoming you to Gut Royum.

For more than 25 years we have been breeding beef. At first, however, it was not possible for us to run this directly at the house. As time went on, more and more people dreamed of owning a farm and managing it. Finally in 2006 we started the search and after 3 years we finally found our oasis with the Dreiseitenhof Gut Royum in Brodersby.

We would like to share this oasis with you. With much love and craftsmanship, we have made Gut Royum shine in new splendor to create something very special for our guests.

Since 2010, many holiday guests from all over Germany and from nearby Europe have been attracting us to this special kind of holiday.
